There are four main configuration settings:

1. Barcode formats: select one or more of: EAN-13, UPC-A, EAN-8, UPC-E, EAN+2, EAN+5, ITF (Interlaced 2 of 5), Std2of5, Code 39, Code 93, Code 128, Codabar (NW-7, USD-4), GS1 Databar Omnidirectional, GS1 Databar Expanded, GS1 Databar Limited, QR, DataMatrix, that the scanner will try to decode.

2. Home Page URL: the url of the web page displayed when the app launches (optional).

3. Barcode Lookup URL: the url of the web page fetched when a barcode is scanned or typed. The url must contain the string "CODE", which will be replaced by the actual barcode digits, and optionally the string "FORMAT", which will be replaced by the symbology of the scanned barcode. That is how the barcode information is transmitted to your web app, and how the initial response is displayed to the user.

4. Send GPS coordinates: add a "&gps=latitude,longitude" to the lookup URL (where latitude and longitude are replaced by actual coordinates).

Please note that you can include as many parameters as you like in either URL, they will be passed as is to your server. For example, you could give to each user a URL with a different "&userid=NNN" parameter to automatically identify them with the web application.

Other options are:
-sound,
-vibration, and
-go straight to scanner when the app launches.

A quick and reliable to configure pic2shop PRO is to display a link to each user on a web page. When they click the link after they have installed pic2shop PRO, the app will launch and the three parameters will be set automatically. The link has the form:

p2spro://configure?lookup={lookupURL}&home={homeURL}&gps={True|False}

where any special character in lookupURL and homeURL is replaced by its % encoding. For example, to make pic2shop PRO lookup the UPC database:

7 years have passed now since the first release of DroidAIMS (PRO) in 2012, basing on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) during these days. As the first Flight Crew App, DroidAIMS assisted download and saving of the current AIMS e-Crew Schedule on Android. While the app matured over the years and continuously developed and improved, recent changes of the AIMS e-crew system and Android OS made further developments and maintenance of DroidAIMS more and more difficult.
Consequently, the decision was made to start with an all-new successor app, called DutyDroid, which builds on the latest Android libraries and development guidelines. After countless hours of coding, testing and improving, the final version of DutyDroid for use with AIMS e-crew was published in June 2018.

While it was tried to keep DroidAIMS operational for as long as possible, recent changes to the requirement of Google Play for publishing of new app updates constitute a technical barrier which makes the further support of DroidAIMS impossible (New app updates have to be compiled against Android 9.0, which cannot be met by the old code structure of DroidAIMS, more info: https://developer.android.com/distribute/best-practices/develop/target-sdk).
Therefore, DroidAIMS will be kept available on Google Play in its current state for installation. However, no further app updates will be published and further development work will concentrate on the successor app DutyDroid.

The support of prices is optional. You can keep only a quantitative register of items without entering prices onto the documents. If you work with prices, you can enter different purchase prices for the same item. When an item with several purchase prices is issued, the program automatically averages the prices, in keeping with the FIFO rule. This means that the proposed price upon issue is a weighted average of purchase prices for the items available in stock. There is also an option of changing the price manually when issuing items, or entering your own selling price not related to the purchase price.
When conducting an inventory the program also proposes a weighted average purchase price, so that the value of the item would not change, if the stock did not change. The inventory also allows you to change the values of the items manually. The inventory is a document which defines amounts and values of items anew – so when issuing items the program analyses the item history since the last inventory.
The incorporated barcode reader recognizes the following code formats:
codes on products: EAN-13, EAN-8, ISBN, UPC-A, UPC-E
industrial codes: Codabar, Code 128, Code 93, Code 39, ITF, RSS
two-dimensional codes: QR Code, Data Matrix
For the reader to work correctly, the camera should be equipped with autofocus and flash for illuminating the codes in dark rooms. Without these functions the recognition of codes may be impossible, or it may require placing the code at an appropriate distance from the camera, so that it captures focus. You can also use an external reader, e.g. Bluetooth operating as a keyboard entering the codes.
The barcode may be any string of signs, not necessarily a concrete type of code. The field may also be used for another purpose, e.g. as a unique index, which will facilitate finding the item. The barcodes in the database must be unique.
