Description of the graphics (from top to bottom):
1st graphic with sound level trend:
Sound level trend of the last 12 seconds, scaling from 0 dB to 90 dB.

By wiping across the 1st graphic (wiping always from bottom left to top right over the relevant graphic) the numerical current value is displayed.

2nd graphic with sound pressure in function of time

3rd graphic for tone identification:
If a clear tone within the frequency spectrum can be determined, the tone will be displayed with a red bar.

4th graphic with numerical peak-frequency and frequency spectrum:
The numerical frequencies of the three highest peaks will be displayed. For better reading you can stop the measurement with the "Stop"-button.

5th graphic third octave band analysis:
For acoustic assessments the third octave spectrum is used. The relevant frequency range from 100 Hz (limited due to the frequency response of the internal microphone) to 3150 Hz (limited due to the sampling frequency) is displayed.
Only available in PRO-version:
The frequency response of the internal microphone was calibrated in a diffuse sound field to a reference device. This calibration has been performed on a Samsung Galaxy S2. The displayed third octave dB-values include this correction and the A-weighting.

By wiping across the 4th graphic (wiping always from bottom left to top right over the relevant graphic) an ultra-high frequency resolution will be activated, frequency resolution approx. 0.5 Hz.

Higher integration time (only available in PRO-version):
By wiping across the 5th graphic (wiping always from bottom left to top right over the relevant graphic) the averaging time of the displayed third octave values is increased by a factor of 5.

Show internal diagnostic data:
By wiping across the complete display (wiping always from bottom left to top right) internal data is displayed in the lower part of the display.

This Sound Pack has 31 synth fx and 25 impacts/chord hits for Caustic's PCMSynth.

Trapezoid is an amazing Hammered Dulcimer app for Android.

Written by an experienced Hammered Dulcimer player, this virtual dulcimer sounds and plays like the real thing!

The Hammered Dulcimer is a popular stringed instrument for American folk music and traditional Irish music.

The real instrument is played with two small wooden hammers that are used to strike the strings. The app works exactly the same way, except using your fingers.

Quick response and a huge sound make this dulcimer app like no other.

Trapezoid emulates a 12/11-style Hammered Dulcimer.

12/11 means there are 12 bridges on the Treble (left) side of the instrument, 11 bridges on the Bass (right) side of the instrument. The left side of the Treble bridge is 5 scale tones above the right (a fifth).

To play, just touch the strings on either side of the left (Treble) bridge or the left side of the right (Bass) bridge just like the real instrument.

To play a scale, start on any white bridge marker, play 4 notes up the same bridge, then switch to the other side of the bridge at the white marker where you started and play up 4 more notes. If you start on the Bass bridge, switch to the white marker on the right side of the Treble bridge.

To get repeated note "drag roll" effects as are done on the reed instrument, drag quickly horizontally across the strings. The sensitivity of the drag effect may be set in the control panel.

Touch the "?" on the upper left corner to show the note names for the strings.

Touch the "i" to bring up the settings screen where you can enable or disable the drag roll feature and set the roll sensitivity for how far you need to drag to get the roll effect.

On this screen you can switch between Stereo (default) and Mono sound.

Set the switch to Stereo for the highest quality experience or for use with headphones or an external amplifier.

Set the switch to Mono if the audio hardware on your phone or tablet only plays sound to the speaker from either the right or left channel. Some low-end tablets have this limitation.

Touch the button below the "?" to toggle between Standard and Michigan (octave) tuning.

Touch the "Shhh" button on the upper right corner to quiet all the strings.

Because of the large number of strings that can be played, the app works best on the larger screen Android phones and tablet.

Operating Instructions:

Touch any key to start the chanter playing. Once a key is started, the chanter plays continuously just like a real bagpipes chanter. This accurately emulates the behavior of the real chanter, the sound keeps going as long as there is pressure in the bag.

Play a melody on the chanter by touching the keys.

Touch the drone puck image to switch the drones on and off. Stopping the drones also stops the chanter sounds.

There are two playing modes:

Choose the "Easy" play mode to play the main Highland chanter notes using just the white keys.

PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE. This is a music player for entire folders and individual tracks. It supports all music formats supported by Android. Even it can control third party players and show playing sound level. Interface simulates main controls and indications including alive VU-meters. Entire look and feel are based on one of the famous cassette deck from near past. The name is fictitious.

Features available:
- collect playlist from entire folders and/or individual tracks - folders can contain unlimited number of subfolders - all music inside them will be played
- turn on playback, pause (while playing), next/previous track (while playing) and stop;
- change global sound volume by moving volume knob;

How to use after installation.

As player:
- double tap anywhere on player or turn it to INTernal mode by INT switch - playlist editor will appear fullscreen, it finds and displays folders with name Music or music on your device - select one of them
- navigate to folder with music you want to listen, use scrollbars to scroll and open subfolders
- drag-n-drop entire folders and/or track from left panel to right
- reorder items in right panel by drag-n-drop
- if needed remove item from playlist then drag-n-drop it to left panel
- change size of panels by vertical bar left-right drag
- double tap somewhere on playlist or folders
- start playback

If there is no Music folder visible in editor then do following:
- install third party application allowing create symbolic links in Android file system
- using it create Music named symlink to the folder with your music collection. Make this symlink in folder sdcard or ext_sdcard or legacy (which one exists on your device)
- restart this application.

As a front panel for other player:
Variation 1:
- run this program and switch to EXTernal player;
- run your favorite player and select music you want to listen;
- switch player to pause;
- switch screen to this program;
- tap to play button and then use program controls.
Variation 2:
- run you favorite player, select music you want to listen;
- turn playback on;
- run this program - it will automatically stops playing music;
- switch to EXT player
- tap to play button and then use program controls.

- SEQ/RND switches between sequential and random track (inside folders too) playback, ONCE stops when playlist ends, LOOP plays entire list cyclically

Switching to microphone input allows VU-meters listen and indicate ambient sounds. Turn this on if you play music by other hardware - VU-meters will follow it's level. Switching to output connects VU-meters to internal device sound output. It allows VU-meters follow only to music played by this device. This can not work properly on some Snapdragon processors with some third party players cause they use specific hardware features. Author of this program is not responsible if VU-meters don't show music level on output but on microphone do show.

Program DOES NOT contain any malicious code - no advertising, no data acquisition, no trading, no third side communications, nothing except it really does - just front-panel for music player.

Program works only in landscape mode. It blocks automatic screen blackening but allows turn off screen by device power button. Just turn on music and run this program while charging your phone or tablet - and enjoy nice view instead of black screen.

[ How to use ]
Please input the voice from your Android phone's microphone. The spectrum is in real time displayed. It corresponds to a horizontal rotation.

[ Pitch detection ]
When the pitch is presumed, a blue vertical line is displayed at the position of the music scale.
Moreover, value (Hz) of the pitch and the music scale name are displayed in the top of the screen.
When the voice contains two or more musical instruments and harmonies, it is not possible to analyze it correctly.

[ Recording and playback ]
Only 3 minutes you can record.

The application is meant mainly for the musician who wants to record his musical idea. The idea is saved as sound and as a representation of the detected tones and chords into musical notation. Saved ideas can be played anytime and can be opened anytime too.
The application does not need internet, it is easy to understand.

This latest in the iImprov series from Jazz Apps Mobile is designed to help take the mystery out of the language of Bebop. There are 9 comprehensive lessons and 8 JAM- A-longs.

Each lesson contains a detailed explanation as well as exercises, transposable notation and tempo-adjustable audio examples. Many of the concepts are also demoed by saxophonist Tony Bray at the end of the lessons.

The topics covered include:
- How to fully realize the bebop scale through strategic placement of half steps to ultimately include all twelve notes of the chromatic scale while maintaining appropriate chord colors.
- How to develop longer phrases.
- Turnarounds and chord substitutions. (Includes tempo adjustable examples that loop and transpose for practicing over.)
- A breakdown of the ʻConfirmationʼ sequence. - Various approaches to playing over ʻI Got Rhythmʼ changes.

iImprov-Modal is one of a series of apps from Jazz Apps Mobile LLC. The series was created for jazz musicians of all levels to help them take on specific challenges that any improvising musician will encounter. Each one contains a full explanation of all the concepts and theory involved as well as written and audio examples and exercises. Each app contains JAM-A-longs in all keys with adjustable tempo and control of instrument balance. Each iImprov app also allows you to select the correct transposition for your instrument.

iImprov-Modal specifically provides the tools for confidently playing over modal tunes.
