Lord Tenebron has risen once again from the grave!

My first ever gamebook was Crypt of the Vampire, and also Leo Hartas's first illustration job.

For the new edition, I've revised the text slightly to excise the trad fantasy elements (a hobgoblin, an elf) that seemed most intrusive. Now the atmosphere is very slightly more Gothic, the setting less definitely medieval.

It's not just window dressing. Megara also commissioned Way of the Tiger scribe David Walters to write a bunch of new sections for the book, expanding the adventure by about 30%.

David has done a fang-tastic job of matching the style and mood of the original book, while also making it more cohesive by building up the sense of the vampire as a threat throughout. So it's no longer just a dungeon bash. Now it really feels like you might find Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing around the next corner. (Possibly with Jack MacGowran and Alfie Bass not all that far away.)

Codeword Unlimited is an application to play the popular word game known as Codeword (also known as Cipher crosswords or Cyptograms).
The words to find are in English, or you can play in 35 other languages.

For those unfamiliar with Codeword puzzles, they provide a grid of words, similar to a normal crossword, but with no clues, rather a few initially provided letters, and a number in each square in the gird to indicate its (as yet unknown) letter. All boxes with the same number must use the same letter. From that information and the few initially provided letters it is possible to work out which words will fit in the boxes. Hence you are decoding (or decyphering) the numbers into letters to reveal the hidden words. Usually all 26 letters of the alphabet are used in the codeword, although not always (and unused letters appear crossed out in the keyboard). It is fun, challenging, and a real brain teaser.

Feature list:
1) Unlimited number of codewords!! They are created on-the-fly using the application's advanced generator engine and it's built-in word list
2) The player decides the number of rows and columns (from 3 to 20). This allows the game to be suitable for all kinds of mobile-phones and tablets
3) Difficultly level can be specified by the user, which determines the pool of words the generator will use. The larger the pool the greater the difficulty. There is even an early learner mode with a limited number of words, aimed at English language learners. The number of starting letters can also be specified. 8) The definition of a completed word can be viewed. This is useful if you do not know it, or you are learning a foreign language (internet connection required)

Letterteller, which means 'Tile Counter' in some weird language, is a very simple but powerful app for the Wordfeud fanatic.
It shows you how many of each letter are still in the game.
That is: the tiles that are neither on the board nor on your rack.

In order to login to the Wordfeud server you have to provide the email adress and password that you use in the Wordfeud app.

Should the app fail to login (either incorrect email or incorrect password) please double check these in the Wordfeud app. Go to Settings and change the password to what you presume to be correct.

Pushing the 'Update' button brings up the list of your current Wordfeud games.
Selecting a game from the list shows which tiles are still remaining.

Just like the Wordfeud app itself, Letterteller might sometimes not be able to contact the server.
This is not an error, just try again after a short wait.

The following languages are supported: English, French, Spanish, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, German and Dutch.

Up until now this app has only been tested on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, in a stable WiFi environment.

There's nothing to do when no words exist.

Firstly you should try to avoid a situation where no words are available by looking ahead at what letters are coming next and planning accordingly. If that fails the 'X' buttons below the letter will swap out that letter for the next one.

These words aren't really words / A common word is not included.

There are a great many words in use in the English language and I cannot hope to please everyone as to their definition of what is a word or not. The 2 dictionaries offered to use are official word lists.

There are a great many words in use in the English language and I cannot hope to please everyone as to their definition of what is a word or not. The 2 dictionaries offered to use are official word lists.

INSTRUCTIONS

Select letters from the 'Rack' in the middle of the screen to form a word of 3 or more letters.

If the word is listed in the dictionary and the word hasn't already been used on the level then the word is accepted. The word will be added to an area at the bottom of the screen for reference.

If you can't find any more words from the rack then advance to the next level and receive new letters.

The more words you find on any one level the higher the score you get for that word. This score is reset when advancing to a new level so it pays to find as many words as possible on any given level.

The more letters a word contains the more time is added to your game for finding the word.

There are a number of achievements to complete outside the normal rules of the game. These include having a particularly good run of words within a level, having consistently good runs over a number of levels, and finding a set number of words in each word length group.

There is a small bonus added to you time when you start a new game based on the number of achievements you have completed.

Проведите пальцем по любому слову на доске и получите его словарное определение. (требуется Интернет)

БОЛЬШЕ ВОЗМОЖНОСТЕЙ:
• Не тратьте время на поиски того, существует ли выбранное вами слово! Когда вы поместите слово на доску, игра покажет, является ли слово допустимым или нет, и его счет.
• Получайте подсказки для допустимых слов, создаваемых в вашей стойке, когда вы упорядочиваете свои буквы (Вы можете включить или отключить эту функцию в любое время).
• Сохраните игру и возобновите позже.
• Следите за своими рекордами и статистикой (например, лучший финальный счет, лучшее слово, когда-либо сыгранное, общее количество бинго и многое другое).
• Выбирайте из различных макетов доски, включая случайный.
• Заблокируйте дроида от использования очень редких слов.
• Плохой помощник рисования (избегайте получения стойки без согласных или без гласных).
